Alain Lemieux (LL.D.), President
Mr. Alain Lemieux is the founding president of AGP. He holds several high-level academic degrees issued by Canadian, British and French institutions. Mr. Lemieux has published numerous articles in journals and trade magazines, and currently sits on the board of directors of various corporations. Previously, he was a guest lecturer at several renowned US universities and currently teaches university courses in Quebec on law and politics.
Mr. Lemieux has been a consultant specializing in matters of government relations and public affairs since 1989. Prior to this, he was a special assistant to the Minister of State for Finance in Ottawa, advisor to the Economic Law Division at the Department of External Affairs, as well as special advisor to the Quebec Minister for International Relations.
Richard Labrie, ExecutiveVice-President
Mr. Richard Labrie joined the Firm in 2006 as vice-president of AGP. Putting to good use his vast experience in the private as well as the public sectors, and benefiting from leading expertise in consulting, he relies on a wide network of contacts in Quebec and the rest of Canada.
In the past, Mr. Labrie worked in the telecommunications field for Bell Canada, and later as a specialized consultant. He was also chief of staff for the Quebec Minister of Tourism and President of the National Assembly. Mr. Labrie later became vice-president and superintendent of the Regie des telecommunications du Quebec, and General Manager of the Canadian Research and Information Centre for many years. This experience has allowed him to develop a strong knowledge of the workings of the Quebec and Canadian State.
